W.I.P- Great Blue Heron by kDdabous W.I.P- Great Blue Heron by kDdabous
*FULL VIEW, Please*
The Bird maybe completed but I still have to work on the background image. The Heron alone took me about 30-35 hours and this digital copy doesn't exactly show the time and effort compared the original. The actual size of the image on original paper is 11x14

This is a Commission/ request my Uncle has asked for... it's apparently for his Grandson but who knows. I am definitely placing this into a frame once it is done. I hope I get appreciation for it >.>

Done with Copic Sketch markers and Staedtler's fineliners

uuumm, All my recent bird pictures I've been afraid to work on the background. :P
I am definitely asking for money, even if it is from family. The sad thing is though First Nations like my uncle will say "But you're family and family don't charge one another." *sigh* "But I am a starving artist!" ....

I doubt my own family would pay me for art either

*sigh* The only one that paid me, who was family was my cousin Dawna. She understands Art can be a form of business. She paid me quite a bit for the painting I did for her and I felt guilty taking the money. Hahahha. Even though the agreement was that she'd pay me for it at the end.
